JFF-TAMPA MANAGER

Role Overview:

Jewish Fertility Foundation (JFF) is a non-for-profit organization that provides financial assistance, emotional support, and educational programming to individuals experiencing medical infertility. JFF is seeking a dynamic and outgoing team player to lead the JFF-TAMPA team. We are looking for someone who will enhance JFF’s presence in Tampa’s community with individuals in need, local organizations, local fertility clinics, and local Synagogues. The JFF-TAMPA Manager will recruit more individuals to the JFF-TAMPA community, deepen pre-existing relationships in the JFF-TAMPA community and increase community programming in Tampa.

This position is a part-time position of 20 hours per week and pays $25,000/year + PTO for Parental Leave. The JFF-TAMPA Manager will report to the JFF National Program Director and will work closely with JFF-Tampa’s Advisory Council.

What You’ll Do:

*Emotional Support: Work directly with local mental health providers to create and oversee JFF-TAMPA’s Support offerings including community-based support groups and JFF’s fertility buddies program. This includes engaging with community members to ensure we are meeting the needs of the community members. *Educational Awareness and Training: Create Tampa-based educational programs including Clergy Trainings and Fertility Clinic trainings and work with JFF National Program Director to engage community members in National educational programming. *Community Events: Plan and implement 3+ City-based events per year (ex- Shabbat dinners, Jewish holiday events, park meetups, wine nights, etc.) and 5+ Live Discussions per year to engage community members and increase the awareness of infertility. *Community Liaison: Serve as a JFF representative at Tampa-wide events and work closely with the Tampa’s Advisory Council and Community volunteers. *Volunteer Cultivation and Management: Collaborate with the Advisory Council on the creation and marketing and advertising of local community programs and build a greater volunteer base in the City. *Database Management: Maintain participant tracking and fundraising in our database. *Marketing: Market and recruit new individuals to the local JFF community and promote all National programs on a local level Write stories about JFF’s mission and programs for local Jewish and general websites, newspapers, social media, etc. Collect testimonials from clients on a quarterly basis and/or after each big program. Establish and manage local marketing budget and advertisements.
Create and manage local advertisements. *Fundraising: In partnership with the Development team, the City Manager will provide support in fundraising and development efforts as it relates to the City. *Administrative Tasks & Special Projects: Create City-based donor acknowledgement letters, coordinate with 3rd party vendors, help execute special and new projects, etc..

Qualifications and Requirements:

*Empathy and Energy: We are looking for someone who is mature, sensitive and empathetic towards the infertility community. This individual should also be a self-starter who is energetic and enthusiastic to build out our organization in a City. This person must have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively and must be willing and able to take initiative. Strong organizational skills: This person must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality across all areas. He/she must have a passion for community organizing and building, and must be a skilled project manager with attention to detail who can manage and juggle multiple projects. Strong written and verbal skills: This person must be effective at communicating with a variety of stakeholders including clients, doctors, therapists, and donors. *Proficient in technology: This person must have the ability to learn and manage our Database (Bloomerang) and utilize social media platforms. *Community leader: This person must have a strong understanding of and appreciation for JFF’s target audience of individuals and couples experiencing infertility from diverse Jewish background and affiliations. He or she must be familiar and comfortable with the local Jewish community landscape. *Bachelor’s degree required. Related field a plus. Understanding of the mission is appreciated. *Candidate must reside in Tampa. Must be available to work at JFF programs during some weeknight evenings and weekends.
