As the Campaign Operations, you will lead and execute the strategic planning and operation of the Federation’s Annual Campaign. This includes managing donor pipelines, campaign events, volunteer engagement, sub-campaigns, financial processing, and marketing. You’ll be central to realizing the Federation’s fundraising goals and reinforcing its philanthropic impact.

Objectives of the Role

Drive Annual Campaign Success
• Plan, manage, and execute the Annual Campaign to meet or exceed fundraising goals, ensuring sustainable resources for the Federation and its partner agencies.
Strengthen Donor Relationships
• Build and steward meaningful donor pipelines, cultivating long-term relationships and increasing donor retention, engagement, and giving levels.
Engage and Empower Volunteers
• Recruit, train, and motivate campaign volunteers and lay leaders to serve as effective ambassadors and fundraisers for the Federation.
Ensure Operational Excellence
• Oversee campaign systems, pledge management, financial tracking, and reporting processes to ensure transparency, accuracy, and efficiency.
Align Campaign Messaging and Strategy
• Collaborate with marketing and leadership to develop compelling campaign themes, materials, and communications that resonate with diverse audiences.
Foster Community Impact
• Leverage campaign operations to strengthen the Federation’s role as a central convener and philanthropic leader in the St. Louis Jewish community and beyond.
Support Development Team Growth
• Supervise and mentor team members to build capacity, improve performance, and align efforts with organizational strategy.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement campaign strategy, donor development pipelines, and coordinate with lead staff on major campaign events.
• Collaborate with Development Leadership to set campaign goals and metrics.
• Manage strategies for benchmark giving levels and supervise sub-campaign execution.
• Personally solicit from a donor portfolio and oversee volunteer engagement efforts.
• Coordinate with finance team on pledge/payment documentation, acknowledgements, tax letters, tributes, and billing.
• Develop campaign themes and work with marketing on materials and publications.
• Ensure campaign volunteers are motivated, trained, and prepared for donor outreach.
• Serve as a collaborative member of the Development team; perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in fundraising, sales, or marketing, with proven project, staff, and process management skills; less experience considered with a strong passion for the role.
• Excellent research, writing, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to manage budgets for areas of responsibility.
• Ability to articulate a complex organization’s mission, accomplishments, and goals.
• Maturity, sound judgment, and ability to interact with major donors, Board members, and staff.
• Proficiency with database systems and constituent relationship management software (e.g., Blackbaud or Salesforce) and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of Jewish community, culture, and traditions; familiarity with St. Louis Jewish community preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to use data to achieve strategic outcomes.
• Strong organizational, strategic planning, and relationship-building skills.
• Team-oriented and collaborative mindset.
Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Jewish culture, history, and communal values is strongly preferred.
• Experience working in a nonprofit, Jewish organization, or mission-driven setting.
• Familiarity with media monitoring tools, CRM systems, or project management platforms (e.g., Meltwater, Monday.com).
• Background in campaign innovation, change management and/or implementing new fundraising models.
• Proven track record of securing and stewarding major gifts.
• Strong data analysis skills and experience leveraging donor insights to drive campaign strategy.
