Job Description:
The Jewish Federation of British Columbia is seeking a Campaign Manager to help drive the success and growth of its Annual Campaign. As the organization continues to expand its philanthropic reach and deepen community impact across the province, this role plays a key part in strengthening donor engagement, advancing fundraising strategies, and ensuring effective campaign execution.

Position Summary:
The Campaign Manager plays a central role in advancing Jewish Federation’s Annual Campaign by driving revenue growth, strengthening donor relationships and overall fundraising initiatives. This position is responsible for driving donor and volunteer engagement, cultivating and stewarding relationships, and leveraging data-informed strategies through Microsoft Dynamics/CRM to guide donor journey, and expanding philanthropic engagement across regional communities and Young Adult Next Generation.

Working in close partnership with senior leadership and volunteer leaders, the Campaign Manager ensures a coordinated, strategic approach to donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship, while overseeing the executional excellence of campaign operations through the Campaign Coordinator. This role requires a dynamic communicator, skilled trainer, and organized project manager with a passion for strengthening community through philanthropy.

The ideal candidate will combine fundraising experience, donor stewardship skills, and technical ability with CRM/database reporting to help maximize campaign outcomes and strengthen Jewish Federation’s mission impact.

Job responsibilities include but not limited to:

Donor Stewardship & Portfolio Management (>$10K):
• Personally manage and steward a portfolio of mid- to major-level donors, with a focus on gifts under $10,000.
• Develop and execute individualized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies to grow donor investment year-over-year with a focus on upgrading donor giving levels of $3000-$9999.
• Ensure meaningful, timely, and personalized donor engagement aligned with Federation priorities.
• Partner with senior leadership and canvassers on key solicitations.
• Serves as a point of contact for donors and internal finance team, addressing inquiries and providing exceptional donor-centric relationships.
• Help develop compelling, tailored narratives and communication strategies that clearly articulate impact and inspire increased giving.
• Utilize storytelling to strengthen emotional connection and long-term donor loyalty
• Enhances donor recognition opportunities, including CEO Dashboard, impact reporting and other forms of donor stewardship.

Strategic Use of CRM & Donor Journey Intelligence:
• Leverage CRM data and analytics to inform donor segmentation, targeting, and engagement strategies.
• Track donor activity and campaign progress, using insights to proactively identify opportunities for growth, retention, and re-engagement.
• Analyze engagement metrics (open rates, event participation, response rates) to refine cultivation strategies. Conversion, retention and upgrade rates.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of donor interactions and campaign activity.
• Translate data insights into actionable strategies for both staff and volunteer leadership.
• Generate and analyze reports on canvasser activity, campaign performance, donor trends, and revenue progress, providing narrative for the weekly CEO dashboard and other reports required

Regional Community Development:
• Lead the identification, cultivation, and growth of donor pipelines within regional communities.
• Develop tailored and targeted strategies to engage emerging, entry level to leadership giving.
• Build strong relationships with community connectors to help them expand the Federation’s reach and impact by building localized narratives that resonate with community specific priorities and values.
• Help create concept and content for “campaign in a toolbox” training materials to present to marketing to fulfill
• Align regional engagement strategies with overall campaign goals and priorities.

Campaign Strategy & Execution:
• Contribute to campaign planning, including segmentation strategies, goal setting, and performance tracking.
• Ensure disciplined execution of campaign plans across assigned portfolios and regions.
• Monitor progress against goals and adjust strategies in real time to achieve results

Collaboration with Marketing & Communications (in Service of Fundraising):
• Engage with the MarCom team to ensure messaging, materials, and outreach efforts support fundraising objectives.
• Provide donor insights to inform targeted communications and segmentation strategies.
• Utilize storytelling and content strategically to enhance donor engagement and strengthen solicitations—not as a substitute for direct fundraising activity.
• Ensure all communications are aligned with and reinforce the case for giving.

Team Leadership & Oversight:
• Oversee the work of the Campaign Coordinator, ensuring strong operational execution and follow-through.
• Work in partnership with senior Campaign Manager and cross-departmental teams.
• Delegate effectively while maintaining accountability for outcomes.
• Contribute to a collaborative, high-performance campaign team culture.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business administration, communications, or a related field.
• 4–7 years of progressive experience in fundraising, campaign management, nonprofit development, or a related field.
• Demonstrated success in supporting and executing fundraising campaigns, including donor engagement, stewardship, and revenue growth.
• Strong relationship-building skills, with experience working with donors, community members, board volunteers, and other stakeholders.
• Solid project management skills, including the ability to manage timelines, coordinate across teams, and deliver on multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Proficiency with CRM or donor database systems (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge, Microsoft BI), including reporting and data analysis to inform decision-making.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences.
• Analytical mindset with experience tracking campaign performance, interpreting data, and identifying opportunities for growth.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with nonprofit or philanthropic environments; experience within the Jewish community or similar community-based organizations is an asset.
