Job Description:
Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver is seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and technically skilled Web & Multimedia Designer to support our efforts in creating engaging visual and multimedia content that advances the mission and communications goals of the Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver.
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Communications and Marketing, the Web & Multimedia Designer plays a key role in designing and maintaining digital and print assets and managing website content that reflects our mission, values, and brand.
Job responsibilities:
Web / Graphic Design & Digital Content
· Develop and produce visual assets for digital campaigns, websites, social media, email, and print.
· Design and update Federation website content, landing pages, and layout elements using CMS tools (e.g., WordPress, Squarespace)
· Assist with ongoing website maintenance, including image updates, layout adjustments, and basic troubleshooting.
· Ensure websites are visually engaging, user-friendly, accessible, and up to date
· Collaborate with staff to create web content for campaigns, events, and initiatives
· Optimize digital content for performance, accessibility, and SEO best practices
· Support the creation of marketing and communications materials such as presentations, brochures, infographics, and promotional items, including:
o Digital ads, social media graphics, email graphics
o Print materials (flyers, brochures, posters, reports)
o Event branding and campaign visuals
· Ensure all designs align with brand guidelines and project objectives.
· Prepare files for production and distribution and work with external vendors when required.
Collaboration & Project Management
· Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas for campaigns and content.
· Work closely with the Communications, Marketing, and Program teams
· Manage multiple tasks simultaneously with attention to detail while meeting deadlines.
· Incorporate feedback and revise designs as needed
· Maintain an organized library of digital assets
· Stay current with design trends, tools, and best practices.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in design, marketing, digital communications, or a related field
· 3-5 years’ experience in web, graphic design, and multimedia production (portfolio required)
· Proficiency with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects)
· Strong understanding of web design principles, user experience (UX), and responsive design
· Experience and familiarity with website CMS platforms
· Understanding of branding, typography, layout, and visual storytelling
· Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design principles is an asset
· Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a mission-driven environment

Details and How to Apply:
· Salary range: $55,000 to $70,000 per annum
· Schedule: Full-time, Permanent - based on a 35-hour work week
· Work location: In-office, Vancouver
