About Us:
At KBV (Kulam Ba’Valley), we are dedicated to creating a strong sense of community through impactful programs, engaging events, and valuable social services. We are seeking a dynamic and driven Program Leader to oversee the full scope of our activities, including event planning, outreach, community engagement, and grant writing.

Position Overview:
As the Program Leader, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing a variety of programs that support our mission. This includes event management, social media management, community outreach, website management, and writing grants to secure funding for our initiatives. You will play a crucial role in connecting with the Langley community, building lasting relationships, and promoting KBV's initiatives both online and offline.

Key Responsibilities:

· Community Engagement:
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with our Langley community members through active participation in social media chats and direct interactions.
- Respond promptly to messages and inquiries on social media platforms.
- Lead event and program planning based on community needs.
- Encourage participation in events, programs, and other activities through consistent communication and relationship-building.

· Event Marketing:
- Design and create promotional materials such as posters, flyers, and digital content to effectively promote events.
- Manage event registrations and track attendance.
- Use various channels, including email, social media, and local outreach, to promote events and engage the community.

· Website Management:
- Regularly update the KBV website with information about events, programs, and relevant community news.
- Ensure content is accurate, timely, and engaging to keep the community informed and connected.
- Collaborate with other team members to maintain the overall functionality and aesthetic of the website.

· Social Media Management:
- Oversee KBV's social media presence, including Facebook and Instagram accounts.
- Develop engaging, creative content that resonates with our audience and grows our online following.
- Monitor social media trends and make recommendations for improved engagement strategies.

· Grant Writing:
- Research, write, and submit grant proposals to secure funding for KBV’s programs and initiatives.
- Maintain a calendar of grant deadlines and ensure timely submission of applications.
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure that grant objectives align with the organization’s overall goals and mission.

Qualifications:
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with community members and stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- A passion for community engagement and making a positive impact.
- Proven experience in event planning, marketing, program management, or grant writing.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram) and website management tools.

Position Details:
- 1-Year Contract
- Hybrid work: WFH + Fraser Valley Locations
- Part-Time: 15h-20h per week; flexible hours, occasionally on weekends and evenings
- Compensation: $23 - $27 per hour depending on experience
