Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director holds primary responsibility for the day-to-day operational, financial, and administrative health of the synagogue. The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen with deep emotional intelligence, building a highly functional, mission-driven, and sacred workplace environment. Key areas include Financial Stewardship & Sustainability, Personnel Management & Volunteer Coordination, Operations/Facilities/Security, Leadership & Strategy, Membership & Engagement Infrastructure, and Communications & External Relations. Required: Bachelor’s degree (Master’s desirable), 5+ years relevant executive leadership (preferably in Jewish/non-profit settings), familiarity with Jewish ritual/traditions, operational acumen, exceptional communication skills, and schedule flexibility.
