We are seeking a K-12 Education Specialist to improve safety, well-being, and inclusion of Jewish students and faculty in non-Jewish K-12 schools across Washington State. This role addresses antisemitism, strengthens Jewish identity, and creates opportunities for visibility and inclusion, focusing on districts with the highest concentration of Jewish students. This is a temporary, two-year contract position, with the possibility of extension based on evaluation at 12–18 months. Key Responsibilities include: lead JCRC efforts to address antisemitism and support Jewish inclusion in K-12 schools; convene the JCRC K-12 coalition; serve as a connector to match schools with Jewish organizations for resources, training, and education; engage with school and district leadership; deliver programming and training; ensure progress via partnerships, listening sessions, faculty training, policy updates, curriculum review, Jewish student/parent groups, inclusive calendaring, PJ Library books, and Holocaust/genocide education. Preferred qualifications: Bachelor’s or equivalent; experience in K-12 schools in Washington; strong understanding of Jewish identity and antisemitism. Required: 3+ years in schools, advocacy, or nonprofits; experience with volunteers and facilitation; strong communication and relationship-building; independent, sound judgment; ability to manage multiple priorities. Compensation & Benefits: Salary Range $27,500–$34,000 annually for 0.5 FTE (20 hours/week); PTO and holidays; medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance; 401(k) and 403(b); supplemental leave program.
