Are you a natural connector/organizer of your friends and family? Do you have an excitement for bringing people together and a passion for building community through people-to-people connections? We are now actively looking for PJ Library Parent Connectors, to inspire and nurture the growth of Jewish families with young children. The ideal candidate will be a warm and committed organizer/planner, naturally enthusiastic about connecting people and families around shared interests, invested in personal growth through Jewish learning, and connecting regularly with other PJ Library families in the Greater Seattle Area.A Parent Connector is: Lives in the PJ Library Seattle catchment area and is a PJ Library parent; passionate ambassador for PJ Library; excited to meet and welcome parents raising Jewish children; excellent communicator and relationship-builder; passionate about Jewish life and infusing Jewish themes into programs; interested in facilitating new opportunities for families to meet; self-motivated, curious, open to new ideas; familiar with online communication outlets for parents; able to work independently and as part of a team; knowledgeable about local community parent resources; understanding and respectful of the range of Jewish connection and knowledge among parents.Compensation / Hours / Work Format: $27.00/hour; flexible hours per week, up to 20 hours per month by agreement (additional hours possible with approval); flexible work hours may include evenings and weekends; remote working and in-person for events; flexible budget for coffee dates and other event materials/costs (approved by PJ Library Program Manager).Parent Connector Responsibilities: Support families using PJ Library Get Together Grants; create and implement at least 1 gathering per month (e.g., playground meetups, playgroups, holiday events, partner events, library story time, home-hosted series, parents’ night); deepen connections via meetings, calls, personal emails, social media; participate in orientation and bi-monthly supervision calls with PJ Library Program Manager; participate in quarterly connector sessions; actively share PJ Library and sign-up information; collect and maintain contact info for participants; submit monthly reports; support larger PJ Library programs as needed.Position Requirements: Available to work flexible schedule including weekends; able to represent PJ Library Seattle professionally; must provide own transportation to events.How to Apply: Set up a 15–20 minute Zoom call with PJ Library Program Manager, Rachel Zell.
