The Jewish Federation of Greater Des Moines is seeking a dynamic, relationship-driven professional to serve as Director of our Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC). This newly expanded position will lead the Federation’s work in community relations, public affairs, civic and interfaith engagement, Israel education and advocacy, and efforts to address antisemitism across Iowa. The Director will serve as a visible representative of Iowa’s Jewish community, building relationships with elected officials, faith and community leaders, educators, partner organizations and others throughout the state. The position will also help strengthen our community’s connection with Israel, including through our Partnership2Gether relationship with the Western Galilee. We are looking for someone who is an excellent communicator and relationship-builder, comfortable navigating complex issues, and excited about the opportunity to help shape and grow this work. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact for the Jewish community in Greater Des Moines and across Iowa.
