Pay Range: $25.00 - $27.00/hourly

Position Overview:
Throughout Jewish Family Service’s 107-year history, our Jewish heart and soul have given us the guidance and expertise to provide critical services to the Jewish community including the older adults, single parents, Holocaust Survivors, and Jewish individuals and families during their most challenging times. We have also supported individuals, families, and communities with their individual and collective wellbeing. The Center for Jewish Wellbeing Program Coordinator plays an integral role on the team by implementing, and managing comprehensive wellbeing programs and initiatives aimed at supporting and improving mental and emotional wellbeing of participants. The coordinator will help design, lead implementation of, and evaluate mission-aligned programs for diverse stakeholders across multiple age groups and backgrounds (e.g., youth, young adults, families, and older adults). This role requires a strong commitment to health equity, community engagement, cultural competence, and achieving measurable outcomes as defined by funding sources. This position reports directly to the Executive Director and works closely with program staff across the agency.

Knowledge of Jewish Culture and Experience and Jewish Community
- Design, create, and lead a diverse range of evidence-based wellbeing programs (e.g., yoga, mental health workshops, intergenerational fitness, etc.) to ensure they are culturally relevant for all participants. Integrate current research and the latest trends in health and wellbeing to ensure the program remains innovative and effective
- Oversee the logistics, scheduling, and delivery of all wellbeing activities, including on-site events, webinars, classes, and community partnership programs
- Build and support emotional resilience and connection across Jewish San Diego by developing and distributing engaging promotional materials and website content to maximize awareness and participation in all programs
- Assist with CJW-hosted community and staff education events, including Jewish learning
Expand Key Services and Sense of Community & Belonging
- Support and contribute to the outreach strategy for the Center for Jewish Wellbeing at JFS to raise awareness in both the Jewish and secular San Diego community about JFS’s unique commitment to and strengths in serving the Jewish community, while serving the greater community
- Coordinate and/or deliver presentations within the community to educate about our services, as well as opportunities to support our work through volunteerism, philanthropy, and advocacy
- Establish and maintain robust working relationships with external mission-aligned organizations, community leaders, schools, and faith-based groups to maximize program reach and referrals
- Proactively address barriers to participation (financial, cultural, physical, linguistic) to ensure equitable access across the entire service area and demographic spectrum
- Work collaboratively with Volunteer Engagement, Marketing, Development, and Program staff to ensure consistent messaging and coordinated efforts across the agency
- Track and report the impact of outreach and community engagement efforts proactively partnering with organizations to coordinate action, leverage resources, and build the infrastructure for collective impact
Client and Administrative Support
- Collaborate with and manage relationships with external vendors, assist in preparing and managing the wellbeing program budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources
- Facilitate programs and participants' engagement through a compassionate and person-center trauma-informed framework
- Monitor, track, and analyze program effectiveness using participation rates of engagement and surveys. Prepare comprehensive quarterly and annual reports for leadership/stakeholders on program impact, return on investment (ROI), and recommendations for future enhancements
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of program participation and outcomes, adhering to all privacy and HIPAA confidentiality regulations
- Answer CJW phone calls and respond to requests for information from callers, connecting with Resource Navigators or Director as appropriate
- Assist with additional projects, as requested
Skills/Experience/Abilities That Are a Must-Have:
- Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of related experience in health promotion, public health, nutrition, or related field
- 2-3 years’ experience in customer service coordinating and managing wellness programs in professional and community settings
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in teams, including internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and remain on schedule towards goals; Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills to not only carry out instructions but also anticipate the next steps and needs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Availability to work at scheduled weekend and/or evening events, as needed
- Must have own reliable vehicle and automobile insurance
