**POSITION:** Intern Program Supervisor**SALARY:** $60,000**STATUS:** Full-Time, Exempt**HOURS:** M-Th 10-6 and F 9-4**Organization**Established over 75 years ago, Jewish Family Service (JFS) is a dynamic “whole person environment,” serving the residents of Greater New Orleans based on the needs of the whole community. JFS is closed most Federal and Jewish holidays.**Basic Function**The Intern Program Supervisor is responsible for the overall supervision of the Behavioral Health Intern Training Program while maintaining a counseling client caseload. JFS trains 4-6 counseling and social work interns at one time. Each intern is required to commit to at least two semesters to the agency.**Duties and Responsibilities**:50% of time spent:- Supervision - Recruit, interview, hire, and train counseling and social work interns - Provide weekly supervision and other support to interns as needed - Ensure supervisees complete required documentation, including client records and administrative paperwork thoroughly and in a timely manner - Assist social work interns in providing quality case management services- Other Responsibilities - Coordinate with graduate University program advisors to secure intern placement, including attending recruitment events - Maintain compliance with University MOU standards for practicum and internship placements - Assist Clinical Director in planning weekly clinical staff meetings by securing speakers and training opportunities - Maintain professional licensure - Other duties as assigned by Clinical Director50% of time spent:- Clinical Services - Individual counseling to clients ages 5 to seniors - Complete required documentation, including client records and administrative paperwork thoroughly and in a timely manner**Statement of Relation:**The Intern Program Supervisor reports to the Director of Clinical Services.**Minimum Qualifications:**LCSW REQUIRED. Some experience in management and supervision in a health care or social service agency. Career path must show a progressive increase in responsibility and authority. Excellent written and communication skills including knowledge of Social Work and Counseling Codes of Ethics required. Eligible individual must have computer skills including MS Word and MS Excel.
