POSITION SUMMARY
The HR Generalist acts as a connector of staff members to the organization’s mission, vision, values and business practices so that JFS’ clients receive the highest level of services from JFS. HR works to attract, develop and retain JFS’ greatest resource, our people. This position supports, promotes and furthers our goal of providing the highest standards of culturally relevant and sensitive professional service consistent with our mission.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruiting and Onboarding (50%)
- Lead full-cycle recruiting for the agency, beginning with the identification of a hiring need to the new hire’s onboarding and integration into the agency
- Audit and maintain the ATS in Paycom to ensure all compliance requirements are met and that marketing/recruiting standards are aligned to the agency’s overall mission, vision and values
- Collaborate cross-functionally to coordinate and execute new hire orientation on a quarterly basis
- Ensure that 90-day reviews are executed consistently and on-time
- Provide ongoing support to the credentialing team to ensure all employees are fully credentialed prior to their date of hire and as they undergo recertification processes throughout the year
Employee Relations (25%)
- Lead the intake process for various employee relations matters by receiving, assessing and determining the best course of action to resolve ER issues in a timely manner with a high-level of care, i.e. worker’s compensation claims, investigations, formal grievances, general HR-related questions
- Act as a confidential resource for all agency employees, while balancing the need to mitigate potential risks to the agency
- Partner with HR leadership on recommendations and next steps at the conclusion of all ER matters and/or investigations
Administrative Tasks (25%)
- Collaborate cross-functionally to develop and maintain relevant and compliant policies and procedures
- Assist with the planning, communication, execution and follow-up for major company events, e.g. open enrollment, annual compliance trainings, annual performance reviews, and employee engagement survey administration
- Audit and maintain HRIS and HR files
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field required
- Possesses well rounded understanding of HR principles, employment law, and best practices required
- High level of emotional intelligence required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
