Description

Position Summary: We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and licensed Psychotherapist to provide outpatient mental health counseling and therapeutic services to individuals, couples, families, or groups. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with clients to assess their mental health needs, develop treatment plans, and support them in achieving emotional well-being and personal goals.

Salary: $56,500 - $70,000 per year

Responsibilities:

  • Provide outpatient mental health counseling to individuals, groups, families, and/or couples.
  • Provide case management services to clients as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of records relating to clients' treatment.
  • Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports according to JFS requirements.
  • Fill out and maintain client-related paperwork, including federal- and state-mandated forms, client diagnostic records, and progress notes.
  • Guide clients in the development of skills or strategies for dealing with their problems.
  • Modify treatment activities or approaches as needed to comply with changes in clients' status.
  • Collaborate with mental health professionals and other staff members such as nurse practitioners or psychiatrists to perform clinical assessments or develop treatment plans.
  • Refer patients, clients, or family members to wrap-around JFS programs, community resources, or to specialists as necessary.
  • Act as client advocates to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations.
  • Learn about new developments in counseling by reading professional literature, attending courses and seminars, or establishing and maintaining contact with other social service agencies.
  • Maintain a productivity standard as set by the agency.
  • Attend staff meetings and serve on agency committees.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

  • Required master’s degree or higher in professional counseling from a program accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP).
  • Preferred three to five years of experience in individual, group, family, and/or couples therapy.

Certification/Licensing:

  • LPC, LCSW, or LMFT in Colorado.
  • Required registration with the Council for Affordable Quality Health (CAQH) within seven (7) days of hire.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • May be asked to supervise interns.

Work environment:

Environment and Schedule:

  • In the office or hybrid.
  • 2 days per week are required in the office.
  • 4 hours per week of evening availability required
  • May need to work occasionally on a weekend day.

Physical requirements:

  • Time spent typing, reading, and in proximity with clients (physical or remote).
  • Frequent contact with others.
  • Physical effort/lifting: Sedentary - up to 10 pounds.
  • Travel requirements: May occasionally be required to conduct home visits.
  • Other: Frequent use of email, client information database systems, and patient electronic medical record (EMR) software.
