The LPA will also carry a clinical caseload and will provide therapeutic services to adults, children, and families. Presenting issues may include addictions and substance abuse; family, parenting, and marital problems; stress management; self-esteem; and aging.Essential Functions:- Conduct psychological assessments under supervision.- Maintain a clinical practice of individual, couple, family and group therapy clients through face-to-face or telehealth formats.- Conduct evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of emotional disorders and mental illness within the scope of clinical practice.- Complete clinical quarterly reviews on each client and conduct planned termination as indicated by treatment plan.- Provide single or multi-session family life education groups.- Maintain up-to-date client case records and outcomes measurement as mandated by internal policies and procedures, and by those with contracted organizations.- Attend weekly clinical meeting with peer clinical supervision. Participate in multi-disciplinary treatment reviews.- Case management and collateral contacts as indicated.- Represent the agency on community committees as requested.- Provide after-hours counseling and crisis intervention via telephone, as scheduled.Supervisory Responsibility: 0 employees.Travel Requirement: Minimal to none.Pre-Employment Requirements: Satisfactory completion of a pre-employment background and drivers’ record check. Negative TB test required.Education, Training and Experience Requirements:- Licensed Psychological Associate or eligibility in the Commonwealth of KentuckyPhysical Requirements and Environmental Conditions:- Tasks involve sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, reaching and performing other physical requirements commensurate with demands of the position, specifically conducting home visits.- Sedentary work which involves sitting most of the time.- Must be able to speak and hear (hearing aids acceptable).- Close visual acuity for computer work and reading (corrective devices acceptable).- Typical office work environment.Responsibility to JFCS: Safeguard the assets of JFCS; attend and participate in scheduled staff meetings; follow record keeping rules; respect confidentiality of clients and comply with HIPAA guidelines; participate as a team member in planning and agency activities.Please submit your resume and cover letter to jobs@jfcslouisville.org.
