Caring and compassionate caregivers work one-on-one with older adults in Jefferson County, assisting with personal care, meal preparation and light housekeeping. Position starts at $16/hour with opportunity for paid time off and benefits. Employees are required to pass a background check and drug screen. Flexible schedule, part-time and full-time schedules available. Qualifications, Competencies and Characteristics:- High school diploma preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience- Ability to read, write and speak English; training provided; prior homecare/elderly experience preferred- Valid Driver’s License; reliable transportation; must be 18+- Passion for JFCS mission and values- Assist clients with personal care; provide companionship services; perform homemaker services (light housekeeping, meal planning/prep, errands)- Adhere to strict confidentiality; other duties as assigned Performance Requirements: arrive on time; follow care plans; communicate with Homecare Director; complete mandatory trainings; submit documentation timely; comply with KY Personal Services Agency regulations; complete required screenings; respect confidentiality. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: effective English communication; sensitivity to elderly and persons with disabilities; maintain composure; cooperative attitude; monitor clients/environments and report concerns. Physical Requirements/Environment: climb/stoop/kneel/reach/stand/walk; push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs occasionally; visual acuity; ability to speak and hear; work typically in home or other climate-controlled location.
