Partnerships Manager

Organization: Jewish Council for Public Affairs (JCPA)

Location: Remote full-time (non-exempt)

Reports To: Director of Advocacy & Public Affairs

Job Summary:

The Partnerships Manager is responsible for managing and supporting JCPA’s partnerships and programming with key national and local organizations, including labor unions, civil rights and democracy organizations, Jewish communal groups, and more. This role is central to advancing JCPA’s mission of partnering across diverse communities to build strong coalitions to counter antisemitism and broader hate and extremism and protect democracy. The ideal candidate is strategic, engaging, and has a proven track record in advocacy, nonprofit, government, and/or politics.

About JCPA:

Since its founding 80 years ago, the Jewish Council for Public Affairs (JCPA) has served as the national convener of Jewish coalitions working to build a just and inclusive democracy—bringing together national and local partners to address the issues that most deeply affect our community and advance our most essential values.

Today, JCPA is mobilizing the robust community relations network and its partners in pursuit of a more just and democratic society for all, rooted in an abiding belief that Jewish security here and abroad is tied to the health of our democracy and strong relationships between communities. Only by building bridges across lines of difference and fostering solidarity between communities can we advance an inclusive future in which Jews – and all people – are safe and free.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with JCPA senior leadership to develop and manage a comprehensive partnership strategy for JCPA’s existing and potential partners, including labor unions, civil rights and democracy organizations, Jewish communal groups, and more.
  • Plan, coordinate, and support in-person and virtual events and other programming in conjunction with partner organizations.
  • Develop toolkits, communications and advocacy materials, and other resources to support JCPA’s partnerships.
  • Maintain regular communication with partner organizations through digital updates and personal outreach.
  • Track partnership-related performance metrics, maintain records, and produce reports for donors and other stakeholders.
  • Support development staff in drafting grant proposals and other development materials related to JCPA’s partnership work.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three to five years’ experience in advocacy, nonprofit, government, and/or politics.
  • Strong relationship-building and communications and writing skills.
  • Experience planning and executing events, programs, and campaigns.
  • Ability to think strategically and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Enthusiastic team player with a collaborative approach.
  • Passion for social justice, Jewish communal advocacy, and civic engagement; knowledge of Jewish communities, civil rights, democracy, and/or social justice issues a plus.

Compensation and Other Details:

  • This position will be based in Washington, DC or New York City and report to the Director of Advocacy & Public Affairs. It will require some travel and limited evening and weekend work dependent on breaking news and events and programming.
  • The compensation range for this role is $80,000-$95,000 commensurate with experience, plus full benefits that include health, dental, and life insurance and a retirement plan.
