Bilingual Child Therapist (1099 Independent Contractor)

Jewish Community Services (JCS) is seeking a compassionate and skilled Bilingual Child Therapist (English/Spanish preferred) to provide therapeutic services to school-aged children and their families. This is a full-time, remote/hybrid 1099 independent contractor role offering flexibility, meaningful clinical work, and the opportunity to make a positive impact in the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual and family therapy to school-aged children using evidence-based practices
- Conduct clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate, as appropriate, with caregivers, school personnel, and external providers
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with agency and regulatory requirements
- Participate in clinical consultation and coordination meetings as needed
Qualifications
- Active Maryland license required: LCPC or LMSW (LCSW-C preferred)
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, ideally working with children and families
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated cultural humility and experience working with diverse populations
Contract Details
- 1099 Independent Contractor position
- Flexible scheduling, within program and client needs
- Remote/Hybrid service delivery model
- Contractor is responsible for their own taxes, benefits, and insurance
Compensation
- Competitive hourly or per-session rate, commensurate with experience
- Estimated annual earnings range: $65,000–$85,000, depending on caseload and availability
