Exciting Opportunity as a Community Development Coach!

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of others? Jewish Community Services is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Community Development Coach to empower individuals with varying abilities to engage in their community, build social skills, and develop independence.

In this role, you will work with people we serve, both in small groups and one-on-one, for approximately 25 hours/week while they participate in a wide range of activities, including arts and crafts, games, fitness classes, movies, group discussions, library and park outings, and more. Driving up to four individuals in your car within the community will also be a part of your responsibilities. You will have the opportunity to support clients in learning job readiness skills such as workplace communication, punctuality, and interviewing skills/preparation.

We value documentation and progress tracking. You will be expected to maintain accurate progress notes and attendance records for each client using our in-house software or email system within 24 hours of the individual receiving services.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9am–2pm

Responsibilities may include:

-Provide direct service to people with a range of abilities and disability diagnoses

You will play a pivotal role in determining the necessary support and accommodations needed for each client to thrive in their community and become self-sufficient. You will advocate for reasonable accommodations and alternative methods to ensure client success. Additionally, you will mediate and resolve conflicts in group settings, model effective task performance, and follow schedules and lesson plans.

Requirements:

-Maintain state-required training such as CPR, First Aid, and OSHA, and have reliable transportation to ensure punctuality.

-Successful candidates must pass a criminal background check and a five-panel drug test.
