The Yehi Ohr Program Coordinator is responsible for the delivery of services and overall coordination, development, and oversight of the Yehi Ohr Program, a culturally sensitive counseling and educational initiative serving the Orthodox Jewish community in South Florida. This role involves conducting in school counseling services, teacher/parent consultation, presenting the Safety Program, engaging in community outreach with Jewish Day Schools and religious institutions, and organizing education and training initiatives. The Yehi Program Coordinator maintains a balanced caseload of in-person or virtual clients to be seen for individual and family counseling. Key responsibilities include identifying unmet community needs, assigning referrals, monitoring staff productivity, managing program data and reports, and maintaining strong communication with referral sources. The Program Coordinator also fosters relationships within the Orthodox Jewish community to enhance program visibility and support, and works with internal teams to develop promotional materials. This role includes participating in agency-wide meetings and community events relevant to the program’s mission.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include the following between 15-25 hours/week and balanced between direct and indirect services, as assigned:

Direct Service compensated at $55/hour:

  • Coordinate and Organize ongoing educational/training programs within the community, inclusive of JCS Safety
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule, and an in-office schedule as required to meet the needs of clients
  • Provide weekly sessions for clients on caseload, and discharge clients as appropriate
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and timely clinical records while adhering to compliance standards and regulations, including licensing and accreditation standards, and agency policy and procedures. This includes, but is not limited to: ensuring intake packet and consent forms are complete; completing Biopsychosocial Assessment with clinical summary to support diagnosis; develop Treatment Plan Goals in collaboration with Client and/or parent/guardian and 90-day Treatment Plan Reviews; complete progress notes within 24 hrs. of session; complete Termination/Transfer Summaries within 15 days of case closure/transfer
  • Review “Caseload Tracking Form” weekly to ensure tasks and case record requirements are adhered to
  • In response to monthly chart audits, make corrections as required
  • Meet weekly to review caseload and discuss areas impacting services and/or performance, as appropriate
  • Provide culturally sensitive services to the Orthodox community including young children, adolescents, adults, and families in the assigned offices and via telehealth

Indirect Service compensated at $30/hour:

  • Explore areas of need within the Orthodox Jewish community to determine whether there are unmet needs and assist in the coordination and development of services/programs to meet the needs
  • Complete all required program reports and submit monthly performance data as requested
  • Maintain ongoing communication with all referral sources, including JCS staff to keep informed about various issues and concerns as they relate to the Orthodox Community
  • Create and maintain ongoing relationships within the Jewish/Orthodox community (schools, synagogues, rabbis, teachers, principals, and other affiliated agencies) that will enhance programmatic and financial support of Yehi Ohr
  • Work collaboratively within JCS to help create marketing materials to help promote services
  • Attend/participate in Agency wide and Departmental meetings and community wide events as appropriate as they relate to job duties/functions
  • Attend mandatory monthly in-service trainings

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Mental Health, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or similar discipline, required.
  • LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC or eligible in the State of Florida, preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years providing individual, family, and/or group therapy to children, adolescents, and adults.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based therapy modalities and experience in trauma-informed care.
  • Knowledge of community resources.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar working with EHR software.
  • Demonstrate an ability to work effectively with colleagues and administrators.
  • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and ability to work with diverse clients served by the agency.
  • Bilingual, preferred.
