JCCGCI Inc. is seeking a compassionate and organized Assistant Director with a passion for working with the older adult population. This role is essential to the daily operations of the Older Adult Center, supporting the Director in program development, administrative management, and service delivery.
The Assistant Director will ensure the smooth coordination of educational, recreational, and social services while fostering a welcoming and engaging environment for all participants.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth program execution and service delivery.
- Coordinate with staff, instructors, and consultants to support effective programming; arrange substitutes as needed.
- Plan and manage trips, activities, and program schedules, including updates and new initiatives.
- Greet and register participants, maintain accurate records, and provide case assistance and resources.
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive environment for all participants.
- Support the Director, including stepping in as needed, attending meetings, and following up on action items.
- Prepare reports, track attendance, and maintain documentation and data records.
- Process invoices and assist with administrative and operational tasks.
- Serve as liaison with staff, vendors, and community partners to ensure clear communication.
- Develop and distribute promotional materials for programs and events.
- Assist with inventory, purchasing, menu planning, and nutrition services.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and support special projects and new initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience in human services or a related field required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management systems.
- Experience with program coordination or administrative support preferred.
- Bilingual Russian preferred.
Full-Time and On-Site 35 hours per week
Pay: $27-$28.00 per hour
