JCCGCI’s Older Adult Transportation Program provides individual car and ambulette rides to essential appointments, as well as group trips for recreation, shopping, and educational activities—all supported by multilingual staff. By removing transportation barriers, we help thousands of older adults safely access vital services, remain connected to their communities, and maintain independence.

Position Overview
JCCGCI’s Older Adult Transportation Program is seeking a motivated and community-focused Outreach Coordinator to expand program visibility, strengthen community partnerships, and support client engagement. This role plays a key part in outreach efforts, registration management, and accurate data entry. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, highly organized, customer-service oriented, and committed to confidentiality and collaboration in a hybrid, borough-wide role.

Key Responsibilities
Tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Expanding program awareness through outreach to the general public and securing new client registrations
  • Designing engaging group trip ideas and managing client sign-ups
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with community partners, including businesses, social service organizations, housing programs, and other referral sources
  • Maintaining an up-to-date database of leads, outreach locations, partnerships, and contact information
  • Reviewing client intake paperwork for accuracy and completeness; assisting with keeping client records current
  • Ensuring strict confidentiality of all client records in compliance with JCCGCI data and privacy standards
  • Assisting with programmatic data entry across departmental databases and applications
  • Supporting additional departmental tasks and initiatives as needed

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Previous experience in sales, social services, outreach, or a related field preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine enjoyment of connecting with people and building relationships
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Hybrid position; must be able to travel throughout all five boroughs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
  • Professional demeanor with above-average customer service skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail, including spelling and grammar, in all written communication and data entry
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with program staff
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Bilingual-Spanish preferred

This is an on-site/in-field Full-Time position; 35 hours per week

Pay: $30 per hour
