JCCGCI is seeking a dependable and service-oriented IT Assistant to provide day-to-day technical support to staff and help maintain reliable, secure technology systems. This role supports hardware, software, and network needs; assists with IT projects; and plays an important role in ensuring staff can work efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues (in person and remotely).
  • Assist with setup, configuration, and maintenance of computers, mobile devices, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Support user account management, including onboarding/offboarding, password resets, and access permissions.
  • Troubleshoot common operating system, application, and network issues; escalate complex issues as needed.
  • Maintain IT inventory, track equipment assignments, and assist with asset management and procurement.
  • Assist with system updates, patches, backups, and antivirus monitoring.
  • Support basic network functions such as Wi-Fi connectivity and peripheral setup.
  • Document procedures, troubleshooting steps, and issue resolutions.
  • Assist with IT projects, including software implementations, system upgrades, and technology trainings.
  • Follow organizational policies related to data security, confidentiality, and acceptable technology use.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Information Technology or a related field preferred.
  • One (1) year of IT support or help desk experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Windows operating systems.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (Wi-Fi, VPNs, printers, Ethernet, shared drives).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and/or Google Workspace.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate technical records.

This position is Full-Time, 35 hours per week

This is an On-Site position with traveling to other JCCGCI sites required

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
