JCCGCI’s Internship Placement Services (IPS) Program is seeking a Case Manager for our Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens locations. The IPS Program helps create subsidized, unpaid and paid internship experiences for NYC Cash Assistance (CA) recipients enrolled in HRA-approved educational programs.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing internship placements with NYC’s nonprofit organizations.
- Placing participants in mandated internships in accordance with HRA and JCCGCI procedures.
- Providing guidance and monitoring participants’ activities including:
- Recording daily attendance
- Investigating complaints and leading conflict resolution efforts.
- Supporting participants in identify resources.
- Ensuring that every participant has a career oriented, constructive assignment.
- Keeping record of performance evaluations, mid-point, exits, and statistical narrative reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human services, social services or related field preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in social services, case management, career services or related field required.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Reasoning ability; solution oriented.
- Excellent English; Bilingual a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint and Access, and data entry; basic knowledge of computer networking processes
- Availability to travel within New York City 25% of the time.
This position is full-time, in-person, and 35 hours per week
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
