SALARY RANGE
$30.00 - $35.00 per hour.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Audio-Visual & Technology Coordinator serves as primary point of contact for all AV requests and is responsible for the coordination and execution of both onsite and virtual events and meetings. This role is responsible for all aspects of audio-visual equipment and technology used by the organization. The role oversees daily assigned IT (Information Technology) operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
AV Support (70%)
- Primary AV support staff for both onsite and virtual events and meetings.
- Coordinate and execute building-wide AV support operations, including setup, operation, and dismantling of AV and video conferencing systems.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and associated cables during setup.
- Act as point for escalation for technical issues and provide timely solutions for ongoing faults.
- Follow-up on AV requests to verify accuracy and appropriateness of equipment and staffing.
- Ensure all presentation media is obtained, reviewed, and tested before each event starts.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards throughout AV operations.
- Provide technical support to Production events as necessary.
Equipment Management and Projects (30%)
- Oversee the building-wide inventory of audio-visual equipment and expendables, covering Fitness center AV equipment, installed AV systems, portable AV systems, and audio paging systems.
- Manage and support video conferencing systems, including conducting ongoing user training sessions.
- Manage building-wide Digital Signage equipment and support, ensuring routine maintenance procedures are adhered to.
- Identify defective or failed equipment and provide timely solutions.
- Coordinate and schedule regular maintenance of all audio-visual equipment, conducting system checks and audits to ensure optimum functionality.
- Develop, update, and effectively communicate documentation and processes to enhance user experience and promote self-service.
- Serve as Project Manager for assigned AV projects.
- Install and maintain audio-visual equipment including display devices, projectors, televisions, camera systems, video teleconferencing systems, microphones, and speakers.
IT Operations (20%)
- Oversee assigned daily IT operations, ensuring effective coordination between the JCCSF and our IT provider.
- Receive and review IT tickets, make approval decisions and seek the necessary information for unresolved issues.
- Coordinate staff workstation requirements and the building-wide computer replacement schedule.
- Maintain user-based IT account lists including termination reports, active accounts, and distribution lists.
- Coordinate cybersecurity training and manage follow-up activities to ensure staff compliance.
- Coordinate weekly meetings, IT projects and initiatives, including change management, communication, and training.
- Manage emergency IT equipment and supplies, ensuring readiness for critical situations.
- Handle IT service vendor accounts and track monthly invoices for accuracy.
- Reconcile and track IT credit card expenses to maintain financial transparency.
- Serve as Project manager for assigned IT projects, overseeing their successful implementation and completion.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of three years of continuous experience in event production and audio-visual management.
- Senior level AV and Video Conferencing skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and standards related to audio visual equipment and systems.
- Hands-on experience in live mixing sound, video projection setups and best practices (aspect ratio, screen resolutions), Mac and PC computers, and general electrical knowledge.
- Experience in live video recording, camera operating, directing/switching, a plus.
- Enthusiastic approach to solving technical challenges.

- Ability to work and keep a calm demeanor under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Must have critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Responsible and reliable, capable of working alone as well as part of a team.
- CTS and CTS-I Certifications preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This position works on-site in the JCCSF facility.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
Ability to work at extended heights using ladders and aerial lifts.
STATUS
Benefited, non-exempt, collective bargaining unit position.

HOURS & SCHEDULE
Full-time. The work schedule includes weekends and evenings, per event calendar and subject to change.
