The JCC is seeking a dynamic and engaging Breakdancing Instructor to lead classes for teens. This instructor will introduce students to the fundamentals of breakdancing—toprock, footwork, freezes, and power moves—while encouraging creativity, confidence, and self-expression through movement. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in hip-hop dance, positive energy, and a passion for working with youth in a supportive, community-focused environment.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead fun, structured weekly breakdancing classes
- Teach technique, rhythm, and performance skills safely and effectively
- Foster teamwork and confidence through group choreography and performance opportunities
- Serve as a positive role model and mentor for teens
Qualifications:
- Experience in breakdancing and/or hip-hop dance instruction
- Ability to connect with and motivate teens (ages 12–18)
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Choreography or performance experience preferred
Schedule: Part-time, evenings or weekends
Location: Weinberg Park Heights JCC, on the Goldsmith Campus
