SUMMARY:

The Senior Director, Information Systems and Data Analytics provides strategic leadership and hands-on management of the JCC’s Salesforce environment, including NPSP, Traction Rec, and other third-party applications. This position guides the vision, development, and executive of our Data Analytic platform.

The Senior Director, Information Systems and Data Analytics will work closely with JCC staff, lay leaders, and subject matter experts to leverage software and services to transform data into actionable insights that inform our organization’s strategic and tactical business decisions. Similarly, this role actively supports departments in developing and implementing technology solutions to promote efficient processing, reporting, and management of their interactions with participants, internal customers, and existing systems.

This role will be involved in all aspects of the software development life cycle, from project/feature backlog prioritization, requirement engineering, and development oversight through testing, release and support for products serving our members and guests. Acting as a liaison between business and technology, creative problem solving, impeccable communication and attention to detail are key skills expected in this role. This individual will also be responsible for point and click administration and configuration of key systems.

This position is based primarily at the Rosenbloom Owings Mills JCC and offers flexibility to work virtually as needed and with approval.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Information Systems

  • Provide point and click administration and configuration of Salesforce and other systems.
  • Supervise a full-time Systems Support Specialist responsible for internal/external case management, program and product setup, and internal user training.
  • Design and implement automated processes using Salesforce Flow.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of Salesforce reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights. Serve as the agency's reporting expert and train and support users in leveraging Salesforce reporting capabilities.
  • Work with managed packages and integrated third-party systems including but not limited to NPSP, Conga, Mogli, Traction Rec, Upace, and SecuTix.
  • Manage less complex Salesforce integrations not handled by a Salesforce Developer, Consultant, or Implementation Partner.
  • Serve as Salesforce advocate across the agency, increase adoption and elevate agency's ability to leverage tools and improve business efficiency.
  • Work closely with our partner, Traction Rec, on upgrades and ongoing support issues.
  • Gather detailed requests from staff for improvements or changes to Salesforce and integrated systems and implement those changes as appropriate.
  • Plan for upgrades, seasonal releases, and long-term projects.

Data Management and Analytics:

  • Drive organizational strategy by ensuring enterprise data management, business intelligence activities, and technologies are aligned.
  • Establish a vision for data management and reporting and lead successful implementation.
  • Drive the establishment of benchmarks and key performance indicators for organizational health, as well as success metrics for programs and marketing initiatives.
  • Build-out high priority analytics to provide insights into business KPIs, impact data, and key marketing analytics. Create and maintain a long-term plan for organizational analytic needs.
  • Promote data-based decision-making including helping departments deliver high-quality data-driven business analyses, analytic models, and strategies that address business issues and provide key insights.
  • Apply statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets.
  • Maintain and refresh dashboards to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Create interactive, user-friendly dashboards using tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Develop custom reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure reports are accurate, clear, and tailored to the audience's needs.
  • Provide training for staff on analytical approaches and techniques as well as data sharing.

JCC Wide

  • Participate in JCC and community events as needed.
  • Maintain current knowledge of JCC programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Support the Mission, vision, and values of the JCC.
  • Represent the Agency with professionalism and provide the highest quality of customer service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting, Data Analytics, Data Science or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years Salesforce administration experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the Salesforce platform, with the ability to build custom apps, objects, formula fields, flows, lightning pages, etc.
  • Salesforce Admin (ADM201) certification required; Platform App Builder and Nonprofit Cloud Consultant certifications preferred.
  • Proven experience building and maintaining Salesforce reports and dashboards.
  • Advanced Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or similar a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented culture.
  • Excellent project management, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to critically evaluate and prioritize information gathered from multiple sources and reconcile conflicts.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills including demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex processes clearly.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality in relation to members’ personal information.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working on comprehensive projects with general direction and minimal guidance.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Salary (or Salary Range): $85,000 - $95,000
