Tamarisk Senior Living is a vibrant, non-profit senior community dedicated to providing exceptional care and enriching experiences for older adults. Our Memory Care Program is designed to support residents living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia through compassionate care and meaningful engagement.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a warm, creative, and energetic Activities Assistant to join our Memory Care team. In this role, you will help plan and lead therapeutic and recreational activities that promote cognitive stimulation, emotional well-being, and social connection for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and implementing daily activity programs tailored to residents’ interests and abilities
- Lead group and one-on-one activities such as music, art, games, movement, and sensory stimulation
- Encourage resident participation and provide gentle redirection as needed
- Collaborate with the Director of Memory Care and care team to support individualized care plans
- Help set up, clean up, and maintain activity spaces and supplies
- Foster a warm, respectful, and inclusive environment for all residents

Schedule: 9am-5:30pm (Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat)
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Experience working with older adults, especially those with memory impairments, is preferred
- Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic personality
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Associates degree or equivalent required; Educational background in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Social Work or human services is preferred; additional training in dementia care is a plus.
