Position Summary:

JCCA is seeking a clinical Supervisor to join our Multi-Systemic Therapy Family Integrated Transitions (MST-FIT) program, a specialized program serving youth in foster care who are at high risk for recidivism and need intensive, family-centered clinical support.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinician and leader to join a collaborative team dedicated to helping young people successfully transition from residential placement back to their families and communities.

MST-FIT combines treatment delivered in the residential setting through the Integrated Treatment Model (ITM) with evidence-based MST aftercare. The program provides intensive support to youth and families during the transition from placement back to the home and community.

Our goal is to reduce recidivism, strengthen families, and help youth build the skills they need to succeed. Treatment is family-driven and focuses on empowering parents and caregivers to effectively address behavioral challenges while helping youth develop healthier ways to navigate family, peer, school, and community relationships.

Summary of Responsibilities:

The MST-FIT Supervisor provides both clinical leadership and administrative oversight to a team of approximately 3–4 MST-FIT therapists. This position plays a critical role in maintaining clinical quality, supporting staff development, ensuring fidelity to the MST model, and helping the team achieve positive outcomes for youth and families.

The ideal candidate is a strong clinician and supervisor who enjoys developing staff, collaborating across systems, and working with youth and families experiencing complex behavioral and emotional challenges.

  • Provide clinical and administrative supervision to a team of MST-FIT therapists.
  • Conduct weekly group supervision and training to support adherence to MST principles, the MST analytic process, and effective clinical interventions.
  • Provide individual supervision and coaching to address clinician development needs, strengthen clinical skills, and remove barriers to effective treatment.
  • Promote understanding of and engagement with the MST model among internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and manage referrals and clinician caseloads to support effective program operations.
  • Collaborate closely with the MST Expert to ensure fidelity to the MST model and ongoing professional development of the clinical team.
  • Monitor, manage, and report clinical outcome and program performance data.
  • Maintain a small clinical caseload of approximately 1–2 families, as needed, to support program needs and maintain direct clinical practice.
  • Participate in program development, quality improvement, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related clinical field.
  • Clinical licensure is preferred.
  • Supervisory and leadership experience, with demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and manage clinical staff.
  • Strong clinical experience working with adolescents with serious behavioral or emotional challenges.
  • Experience providing family-based treatment, particularly approaches that incorporate structural, strategic, or functional family therapy principles.
  • Experience using behavioral interventions to address school behavior and academic performance.
  • Experience developing and implementing interventions across the youth’s natural environment, including the family, peer group, school, and community.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage staff performance, provide constructive feedback, and promote accountability.
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to family-driven, strengths-based, and culturally responsive practice.
