JCCA is seeking a Program Coordinator to manage the day-day of the Arches Mentoring Program, a transformative mentoring program serving young adults on probation. Arches connects young adults with trained community mentors through intensive one-on-one and group mentoring, using an evidence-informed Interactive Journaling model to support positive development, strengthen life skills, and promote successful outcomes.

The Program Coordinator will play a key leadership role in the day-to-day operation of the program, including recruiting and supervising mentors, coordinating referrals and services, supporting program participants, building community partnerships, and ensuring program quality and contract requirements are met.

The ideal candidate is a creative, energetic, and organized professional who is passionate about working with young adults and has demonstrated success engaging and supporting youth with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise mentors for the Arches program.
• Provide ongoing coaching, guidance, and professional development feedback to mentors.
• Provide 24/7 program support and backup to mentors, including responding to emergency situations involving program participants as needed.
• Complete required Interactive Journaling training and other program-required training.
• Ensure high-quality and consistent implementation of the Arches Interactive Journaling curriculum.
• Coordinate, process, and assign referrals to the program.
• Schedule and conduct formal Arches orientations for new participants in collaboration with program mentors.
• Provide weekly individual and group supervision to program mentors.
• Ensure mentors provide intensive, comprehensive support to assigned participants across areas including education, employment/vocation, social development, recreation, medical needs, and mental health.
• Maintain regular communication with assigned Probation Officers and other collateral contacts regarding participant progress and service plans.
• Ensure intake assessments, progress notes, reports, and participant records are complete, accurate, and maintained in accordance with JCCA and Department of Probation standards.
• Monitor participant progress and ensure program outcomes and contract deliverables are achieved within required timeframes.
• Collect, track, analyze, and report program data and outcomes as required internally and externally.
• Conduct program evaluation and monitoring activities to promote quality, fidelity, and program effectiveness.
• Participate in regular supervision with the Arches Program Director.
• Plan and coordinate participant engagement and incentive activities, including graduation celebrations, recreational activities, and group events.
• Develop and maintain a Community Advisory Board and produce a monthly program newsletter.
• Participate in community outreach activities to educate the community about Arches, establish partnerships, and cultivate referrals.
• Represent the Arches Program at community meetings, events, and other public forums.
• Attend required trainings, technical assistance sessions, and professional development activities identified by JCCA or the Department of Probation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with five years of relevant program experience; Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or a comparable degree preferred.
• Demonstrated experience working creatively and effectively with challenging youth or young adults.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with youth, mentors, families, Probation Officers, and community partners.
• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong documentation, data tracking, and reporting skills.
• Ability to respond effectively to crisis situations and provide support in a fast-paced program environment.
• Previous personal or professional experience working with the Department of Probation or experience working with justice-involved youth or young adults.
• Experience supervising staff, mentors, volunteers, or other direct-service professionals.
• Experience with mentoring, youth development, community-based programming, or restorative/behavioral interventions.
