JCCA is seeking a passionate, organized, and student-centered professional to join our Leadership Education Achievement Pathways (L.E.A.P) Program as the Campus Coordinator of Tutoring & Academic Achievement Supports.
In this role, you will lead and oversee an on-campus tutoring program while advocating for students’ educational success and connecting young people with the academic resources they need to thrive.

Summary of Responsibilities
Student Advocacy & Academic Support
- Build and maintain collaborative partnerships with school districts and educational providers
- Advocate for students to ensure appropriate educational services and supports are implemented
- Monitor attendance, grades, promotion status, transcripts, and other academic indicators to identify students in need of support
- Review report cards and coordinate tutoring referrals and academic interventions
- Work closely with students, families, and case planning teams to improve academic outcomes and school engagement
- Facilitate educational workshops and groups on a variety of academic topics
Tutoring Program Coordination
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the tutoring program
- Recruit, train, support, and supervise tutors and volunteers
- Match students with tutors and manage tutor/student schedules
- Maintain organized student and tutor records, tracking data and progress
- Communicate regularly with students, families, tutors, and staff regarding tutoring assignments and student progress
- Provide ongoing guidance and support to tutors to ensure quality services
Program Operations
- Prepare monthly reports and maintain program documentation
- Develop relationships with schools, community organizations, and referral partners
- Address student and tutor concerns with professionalism and strong customer service
- Collaborate with program leadership regarding operations and staffing needs
- Support additional program initiatives and duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with disadvantaged or underserved youth populations
- Experience supporting students with academic, behavioral, or educational challenges preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities
- Knowledge of NYC Department of Education policies and educational advocacy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to build relationships with students, families, schools, and community partners
- Demonstrated understanding of trauma-informed practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible schedule, including availability for evening hours as needed
