Position Summary: JCCA’s mission is to provide the highest quality child welfare and mental health services to New York’s neediest and most vulnerable children and families to ensure that their safety, permanency and well-being leads to a life of stability and promise.

Our programs include foster and residential care, educational assistance and remediation, case management for young people with mental health challenges and services to families to prevent child abuse and maltreatment. The Case Planning Supervisor will provide leadership, training, supervision, guidance and support to program staff and is responsible for communication of all policies and procedures. The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the mission and core values are incorporated to the day to day function of staff with direction with regard to excellence in practice utilizing a Family Centered and Strength-Based model of approach. This position is a critical part of our Campus Services Foster Care Department and will work closely with the Campus Interdisciplinary Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote a family-centered, strength-based approach aligned with organizational values
  • Ensure early family engagement, concurrent planning, and aftercare services
  • Monitor team compliance with ACS, DSS, OCFS, federal, and agency requirements
  • Drive permanency outcomes, including reunification, adoption, and independent living
  • Oversee staff performance in legal processes, including court documentation and testimony
  • Review and approve key documentation (FASPs, court reports, referrals, etc.) in a timely manner
  • Participate in interdisciplinary efforts to support youth placement and step-down planning
  • Provide supervision, coaching, and professional development to staff
  • Oversee case planning, treatment coordination, and service delivery
  • Represent the organization in stakeholder meetings and community partnerships
  • Support implementation of evidence-based models (EBMs) with fidelity
  • Facilitate internal and external meetings (e.g., case conferences, family meetings)
  • Participate in intake processes, including reviewing referrals and interviewing prospective residents
  • Provide crisis intervention and support as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field required; Master’s degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of case management experience in foster care preferred
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of child welfare systems and regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage performance effectively
  • Excellent organizational, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems
  • Commitment to understanding and addressing systemic inequities in child welfare
  • Experience working with diverse populations and multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong clinical skills working with youth and families
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Salary:

Bachelor Level Supervisor -$66.3K - $68.5K; Master's Level Supervisor - $67K -$70K -Differential offered for Spanish language skills
