Position Summary
JCCA is seeking a strategic and creative Marketing & Communications Manager to help elevate our brand, expand community engagement, and support organizational growth through compelling storytelling and integrated marketing strategies.
This role will partner closely with the Chief Development and Communications Officer (CDCO) to execute high-impact marketing, communications, and public relations initiatives across digital and traditional platforms. The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and hands-on executor who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Communications Strategy
- Partner with senior leadership to execute integrated marketing, communications, and PR strategies
- Ensure alignment with organizational goals and brand identity
Content & Brand Management
- Develop compelling, mission-driven content and storytelling
- Maintain brand consistency across all communications
- Lead production of marketing materials, publications, and campaigns
Digital & Campaign Management
- Oversee website, social media, email marketing, and digital campaigns
- Support website and intranet updates, including refresh initiatives
- Track and analyze performance metrics to optimize campaigns
Fundraising & Advocacy Support
- Partner with Development to support fundraising campaigns, donor communications, and events
- Collaborate with Government Relations on advocacy and public affairs messaging
Internal & External Communications
- Support internal communications to keep staff informed and engaged
- Assist with media relations, press outreach, and public announcements
- Support crisis communications planning and messaging
Project & Vendor Management
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously from concept to execution
- Coordinate with external vendors, designers, and consultants
- Provide guidance to staff and junior team members
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field; Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field is preferred.
- 6–8 years of relevant nonprofit or mission-driven experience preferred
- Proven experience managing marketing campaigns and projects end-to-end
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills
- Experience managing websites, social media, and email marketing platforms
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in:
- WordPress
- Social media platforms & analytics tools
- Microsoft 365
- Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Experience with video or multimedia content is a plus
