Position Summary: The Prevention of Sexual Abuse (PSA) Compliance Specialist for the UC (Unaccompanied Children)’s programs is responsible for managing compliance with the standards for preventing, detecting, and responding to sexual abuse and sexual harassment, per Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) policies. This position provides oversight, training, and monitoring to promote the safety and well-being of UC.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for program policies and procedures, ensuring ongoing alignment with all regulatory requirements set forth by ORR and OCFS.
- Develop, update, and facilitate PSA (Prevention of Sexual Abuse) educational materials and training sessions for both staff and youth, fostering a culture of safety and awareness.
- Monitor all Child-Level Events, Program-Level Events, and additional incident reports; track follow-up actions, analyze trends, and provide recommendations to program leadership to support continuous improvement.
- Provide coaching, training, and technical support to staff to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant incident reporting practices.
- Actively participate in internal and external compliance and quality oversight meetings, including the quarterly Incident Review Committee, monthly UC Compliance Meetings, and weekly Team Meetings.
- Work closely with program leadership to interpret, implement, and reinforce organizational policies and procedures to maintain a safe and compliant program environment.
- Prepare quarterly and annual PSA reports for submission to ORR, as well as monthly internal reporting for leadership review.
- Serve as liaison to ORR for all PSA-related matters and act as the designated point of contact for the Justice Center, ensuring transparent communication and timely follow-up.
- Maintain a consistent presence across both program sites, conducting walk-throughs, reviewing camera footage, assessing the physical environment, and ensuring ongoing compliance with PSA facility standards.
- Partner with program leadership, Program Quality staff, and UC teams to embed compliance expectations into daily workflows and operational culture.
- Perform additional compliance, safety, and operational duties as needed to support program integrity and youth well-being.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Public or Business Administration, Inspection & Oversight, Behavioral Sciences or Human Services Field;
- Minimum of one year of experience working in child welfare, quality assurance or compliance;
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
- Must be bilingual, English/Spanish; other language skills may be acceptable depending on service population
- Must be able to pass all required pre-employment screenings per ORR contractual agreement
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and data management; be a self-starter who is highly organized
Hourly Rate: $32.96 Per Hour
