Position Summary:

JCCA is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Health Information and Data Support Specialist to support the integrity, accessibility, and security of health-related data across our organization. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in maintaining electronic health records, supporting data systems, and generating insights that help improve patient care and organizational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Management & Quality Assurance

  • Collect, verify, and maintain accurate patient data, including demographics and medical histories
  • Ensure the integrity and reliability of data entered into databases and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
  • Maintain an ongoing log of data change requests, tracking status and resolution

Electronic Health Records (EHR) Management

  • Support the maintenance and optimization of EHR systems
  • Assist with implementation and enhancement of health information systems and solutions
  • Help establish and maintain appropriate clinical coding, classification, and logic to support accurate treatment histories and insurance reimbursement

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Assist in analyzing health data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights
  • Generate and maintain reports to support departments and leadership in operational and strategic decision-making

Technical Support & Systems Assistance

  • Provide troubleshooting and technical support for data-related issues, software applications, and database systems
  • Assist in the maintenance, implementation, and ongoing support of data systems and technologies

Compliance, Confidentiality & Auditing

  • Ensure data accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with legal, regulatory, and industry standards
  • Audit patient records to ensure adherence to data governance and compliance requirements

Collaboration & Communication

  • Partner with internal teams and departments to resolve data-related issues and support smooth operations
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of health information management policies and procedures
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational needs

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master’s degree in business, information systems, public or non-profit administration, or a related field preferred (or equivalent relevant experience)
  • RHIA certification a plus
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Proven experience creating high-quality business and systems documentation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across diverse roles
  • Strong interest in data, systems, and process improvement
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint (Office 365 and Power Platform experience a plus)
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and time-management skills
  • Experience with EHR systems, ERP platforms, and/or financial or workforce management systems preferred
  • Background in healthcare, social services, or public/non-profit environments a plus

Salary: $66,300 - $70,000
