Job Summary:

JCCA is seeking a dynamic, mission-driven leader to serve as our next Director of LEAP – Community Services, overseeing a portfolio of Education, Career, and Youth Development programs. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic thinker and passionate advocate committed to helping young people thrive academically, socially, and professionally.

The Director of LEAP will provide will ensure high-quality services, drive program growth, and strengthen coordination across JCCA’s divisions to create seamless, youth-centered support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day operations for LEAP programs across NYC.
  • Oversee program design, implementation, evaluation, and quality assurance.
  • Strengthen collaboration across education, career, and youth development services.
  • Manage educational, vocational, Youth Development, and Fair Futures grants.
  • Partner closely with Finance, Government Contracts, and Fund Development teams to support budgeting, compliance, and sustainability.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with schools, employers, and community organizations to expand opportunities for youth.
  • Represent JCCA at citywide meetings, forums, and collaborative initiatives.
  • Oversee data collection, reporting, metrics, and CFTSS documentation.
  • Supervise, coach, and support LEAP staff while promoting cross-training and team cohesion.
  • Manage school admissions for youth in care and support school stability and academic success.
  • Provide responsive support for urgent matters, including on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Public Administration, Psychology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience supervising staff and managing programs.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of NYC public education systems, including special education.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage youth and collaborate with families, schools, and partner
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort working with data systems and metrics; experience with MyEvolv is a Plus
  • Should demonstrate understanding of Medicaid CFTSS services, documentation, and compliance.

Salary Range: $85,000 – $92,000
