Position Summary:
JCCA seeks a licensed psychologist to provide clinical interventions and supervision to doctoral students at our Westchester Campus. This role involves delivering evidence-based treatment, conducting comprehensive assessments, and contributing to program development. The psychologist will serve youth with emotional and behavioral challenges, including co-occurring Intellectual Disabilities, Developmental Disabilities, and Autism Spectrum Disorder, particularly at the Edenwald Center. The role also includes conducting psychological evaluations for the START program. This position requires in-person service delivery, with some hybrid work options.

Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Interventions:
    • Provide individual, group, and family therapy to youth with emotional and behavioral challenges.
    • Conduct psychological assessments and provide feedback to treatment teams.
    • Offer crisis intervention as needed.
  • Supervision and Leadership:
    • Supervise APA interns and externs, providing clinical oversight and program development input.
    • Participate in recruitment, evaluation, and selection of psychology trainees.
  • Training:
    • Lead training seminars for staff and trainees.
    • Develop and facilitate clinical training across the agency.
  • Administrative Responsibilities:
    • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case conferences.
    • Provide consultation on youth placement appropriateness.
    • Ensure adherence to OMH and OCFS regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Doctoral Degree in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology from an APA-accredited program.
  • Licensed as a New York State Psychologist (Limited Permit acceptable for 1 year).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • At least two years of experience in therapy and assessments.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and writing skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Supervisory experience and ADOS-2 expertise preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish or other languages and cultural competence is a plus.

Salary Range: $85,000 - $98,000
