Summary:

JCCA’s Behavioral Health and Wellness division is seeking a Clinician to join the Brooklyn Counseling Center (BCC), an outpatient mental health clinic that serves children between the ages of 4 and 21. The full-time clinician would be responsible for completing intake assessments, as well as individual, group, and/or family counseling. Additionally, the clinician may be expected to complete some on-site hours in a satellite facility, Liberation High School.

Job Duties:

  • Provide individual, group and family therapy to identified clients.
  • Responsible for the formulation of clinical assessments for referred clients in accordance with established clinical procedures, and in collaboration with each client and family.
  • Enter all progress notes and other case information in the web-based monitoring system and electronic health record.
  • Responsible for completion of outcome measurement tools.
  • Collaborate with case manager/resource specialist in planning for/and securing community-based services for client/family.
  • Collaborate with client family members, school personnel, psychiatrist, and supervisor to assure treatment plans are appropriate for clients.
  • Participation in intervention utilization review process according to clinical procedures as mandated by the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.
  • Attend clinical case conferences and staff meetings according to program procedures.
  • Flexibility in coordinating work schedule to meet the needs of client/ family.

Qualifications:

  • LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, PsyD, PhD, from an accredited school; Must be licensed in NYS
  • Knowledge of individual, family, and group treatment modalities.
  • English language-writing skills necessary to fulfill state and city regulations for keeping records.
  • Knowledge of needs of, and identification of, abused and neglected children.
  • Knowledge of child development and individual and family functioning.
  • Skills in working with hard to reach or resistant individuals and families.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with client and teams that are culturally and professionally diverse.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $62,000.00 - $64,900.00 per year
