Administrative Assistant

Job Summary: The responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant for the Mott Haven Community Partnership Program are to provide administrative and clerical support the Program Director and Community Organizer and to serve in their stead in assigned roles during various aspects of program meetings, activities and events.
Essential Generic Job Functions:

Provide administrative and clerical support for Director and Community Organizer as needed

Assist with preparing meeting agendas, handouts, meeting minutes, promotional materials

Prepare check requisitions, supply and purchase orders, process invoices for payments to vendors

Assist with compliance reporting, including gathering and entering data

Assist with communicating to CPP members and community residents via outreach, email and phone
-
Assist with maintaining event calendars and general communications with CPP partnerships

Assist with organizing outreach and program events

Attend community meetings and events

Serve as staff member leader in one or more aspect of program activities (event planning, specific event, working group, etc.)

Other tasks and duties as assigned by supervisors.
Knowledge, Education and Skills Required:
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, electronic marketing tools

Ability to coordinate with a wide range of staff and be a team player

Some evening and weekends/ability to work occasional, flexible hours

High School Diploma/Equivalency required
Knowledge, Education and Skills Preferred:

Bi-lingual (Spanish/African dialect) a plus

Personal and/or professional knowledge of Mott Haven Community District 7 strongly preferred

Associates Degree preferred
Salary Range: $24.72 per hour
