The Anathan Club Adult Day Care Program is hiring Casual/PRN Program Assistant. The Program Assistant will lead activities and assist in daily living needs. Under the direction of the Manager, they will be responsible for the provision of personal care and assistance to program participants. Must have experience with memory care or older adults.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assists in the orientation of new program participants to the facility.
• Helps in transporting participants to & from and in & out of vehicles.
• Assists with all aspects of food and nutrition including: set-up, feeding, serving, clean ups and knowing participants dietary restrictions.
• Utilizing supplies efficiently and equipment safely and responsibly.
• Assists in documentation/record keeping as required.
• Assisting program participants in all aspects of personal care as necessary. This includes: toileting, feeding, bathing, ambulation, range of motion and others.
• Maintains a clean and well organized center.
• Provides friendly and stimulation environment for program participants through tasks such as, but not limited to, greeting participants, assisting in putting on & taking off outerwear, serving food & beverage and engaging in conversation.
• Attends staff meetings, workshops and training sessions as assigned.

Required Education, Training, and Experience:

• High School Diploma/GED and one (1) or more year(s) related experience working with individuals in a healthcare or social service setting and/or satisfactory completion of the Department of Education requirements for nursing assistant.

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of the physical, emotional and social needs of older adults.
• Knowledge of person with physical and/or mental impairments..
• Dependable, enthusiastic, and out-going.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 per hour

• Pittsburgh, PA 15217: Relocate before starting work (Required)
