Our brand new personal care community is hiring a receptionist!
Job Summary
The Receptionist serves as an ambassador to this Personal Care Community and supports the administrator in meeting his/her responsibility for the overall administration of the facility. All responsibilities will be carried out in a manner that is consistent with the philosophy of this Personal Care Community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Serves as an ambassador of goodwill to all who enter the community.
2. Promptly answers and screens all incoming telephone calls in a courteous and professional manner. Routes calls and takes messages as appropriate.
3. Gives basic facility information, such as brochures and informational packets, to persons wanting information about the facility. Forwards admission inquiries to the community outreach coordinator and the administrator.
4. Greets all visitors in a friendly courteous and professional manner.
5. Receives and processes mail for facility staff.
6. Types, copies, orders and maintains inventory of office supplies and performs other clerical duties..
7. Maintains and updates log of emergency telephone numbers. Keeps log at front desk.
8. Maintains and updates emergency contact information on each resident. Keeps information at front desk.
9. Maintains and updates communication logbook. Keeps log at front desk.
10. Schedules residents for the facility van use for medical and social use and outings
Qualifications:
- High School graduate-or- GED
- Minimum of one (1) year clerical experience preferred.
- Must possess a high degree of interpersonal relation skills and capability of relating to a variety of people and personalities. Considerable initiative and judgement is also required.
- Must have good word processing and clerical skills.
