We're seeking an experienced LPN Supervisor to lead our nursing team in our dynamic Personal Care and Assisted Living Communities. JOB SUMMARY:
The LPN Supervisor, as part of the direct service team, is responsible for assisting residents in maintaining their optimal level of functioning. This individual must have a personal commitment to promote and advocate dignity, respect, individual rights, and a feeling of self-worth for each resident. The LPN Supervisor is responsible for the general well being of the residents of the communities through the delivery of high quality services.
JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To understand the health needs of the residents and work closely with family, staff and healthcare professionals to ensure that those needs are met.
- To coordinate each resident’s care services.
- Acts as liaison between the Residence and physician, hospital, pharmacy or other medical personnel when increased medical attention is required.
- Responsible for participating in training, supervising and motivating staff to ensure the provision of high quality services to residents to include, but not limited to, knowledge of possible side effects of medications, maintaining confidentiality, assistance with ADL’s, and instruction on treatments and dressing changes.
- Oversee all aspects of resident care as provided by Care partners, promoting a “Wellness” philosophy with a focus on the strengths and abilities of the residents.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
- LPN with current license.
- Current first-aid and CPR certification.
- Direct experience working with the geriatric population.
- Proven supervisory skills and experience.
- Must meet Commonwealth of Pennsylvania requirements for job responsibilities.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Strong clinical and assessment skills.
- Well-developed organizational abilities.
- Able to monitor or oversee multiple projects.
- Awareness of governmental regulations pertaining to Assisted Living/Personal Care Homes.
- Effective supervision skills.
