Description
The Fundraising Event Coordinator will support the planning, coordination, and execution of key fundraising events taking place in early to mid-2026, including the Winter Fundraiser, PJ Library Spring Fundraiser, Richard Bornstein Dwares JCC Golf Classic, and Yom Ha’atzmaut Fundraiser. This is a part-time (10 hours/week, 3 month temporary position, at $25) ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong event planning and fundraising experience.
Key responsibilities include -
Winter Fundraiser: mid-winter 2026
- Finalize event details and logistics.
- Recruit and coordinate event committee members.
- Secure sponsorships or a lead donor; determine sponsorship levels and ticket pricing.
- Coordinate entertainment (e.g., singer, comedian).
- Arrange rentals, catering, bar service, and liquor license.
- Set up registration page through iDonate.
- Collaborate with the branding and marketing team on invitations, social media, and printed materials.
- Oversee décor and production of printed collateral.
PJ Library Spring Fundraiser: Spring 2026 preparation for event
- Finalize event concept, date, and time (e.g., brunch, PJ party, family-friendly).
- Secure sponsors and determine sponsor levels.
- Recruit and manage the event committee.
- Set up and manage iDonate registration page.
Richard Bornstein Dwares JCC Golf Classic: June 2026 preparation for event
- Coordinate committee meetings (bi-weekly, increasing to weekly near the event).
- Lead sponsorship outreach and management.
- Oversee design and distribution of Save the Date and event brochure.
- Collaborate with branding and marketing on communications and social media.
- Manage iDonate registration setup.
- Finalize novelty experiences (e.g., live music, tastings, swag, raffles).
- Coordinate with vendors for golfer and racquet gifts, banners, tee signs, and printed collateral.
- Work with the golf club to finalize menu and logistics.
- Assist in organizing the honorary committee and award recognition.
Yom Ha’atzmaut Fundraiser: April 2026 preparation for event
- Collaborate with leadership to define event format (e.g., concert or party).
- Determine date, time, venue, and event scope.
- Secure sponsorships, determine sponsor levels, and set ticket pricing.
- Coordinate catering, bar service, rentals, and décor.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in event coordination, fundraising, or nonprofit development.
- Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for committee and sponsor engagement.
- Familiarity with iDonate or similar fundraising/event registration platforms preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a part-time, flexible schedule.
Schedule
- Hours: 10 hours per week mid-November through mid-March (flexible schedule; may include WFH).
