Description

Position Summary: We are seeking a collaborative and analytical Business and IT Operations Analyst to lead key initiatives that enhance our operational efficiency, support staff training, and guide our technology transformation. This role bridges technology and organizational strategy, helping departments improve workflows, adopt new tools, and deliver on our mission.

In addition to supporting internal teams, this position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with Jewish Community Center (JCC) partners across the U.S. and Canada, sharing best practices and aligning technology solutions to benefit the broader Alliance network. Key Responsibilities:

Business analysis and change management

  • Coordinates cross-functional work teams for business requirements and technology planning.

  • Establishes and maintains process and technology standards with high quality documentation.

  • Delivers monthly reporting packages across systems to assess performance against operations KPIs.

  • Share knowledge and best practices with peer organizations across US and Canada.

  • Serve as single point of contact for third-party service providers and vendors.

  • Collaborate with Finance to compile and manage the IT budget.

  • Contribute to the development of the organization’s technology roadmap and ensure IT systems scale with growth and programmatic needs.

Staff onboarding, training, and engagement

  • Manage technology projects from planning to rollout ensuring stakeholder alignment and on time delivery.

  • Lead application training for new solution roll outs, new staff onboarding, and ongoing technological advancements.

  • Develop user-friendly reusable training tools, including quick reference guides for self-service learning.

  • Engage vendors for routine training updates, refreshers, and adoption best practices.

  • Work closely with program, membership, development, and finance staff to understand their technical needs and deliver aligned solutions.

  • Support the organization’s transition to cloud-first tools and platforms to improve flexibility and efficiency.

Operations and maintenance

  • Acts as system administrator and power user for core system applications.

  • Leads help desk for core software, network, devices, VOIP, and user accounts.

  • Evaluates issues and enhancement requests for investment and execution.

  • Provide initial triage and resolution; escalate to vendors as needed.

  • Monitor system security and ensure compliance with data protection standards and best practices.

  • Support implementation of cybersecurity protocols (e.g., password policies, multi-factor authentication, secure data backups).

Project Management & Implementation

  • Manage technology projects from planning to rollout, ensuring stakeholder alignment and on-time delivery.

  • Lead data migration from legacy systems to new platforms.

  • Coordinate new technology evaluations and deployments, leveraging project, change, and vendor management skills.

  • Collaborate with software vendors and consultants to manage system implementation tasks.

  • Provide routine status reporting, issue escalation, and manage internal project stakeholders to meet milestones on time and on budget.

  • Ensures solution design meets Alliance requirements and that configuration meets user needs through User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Qualifications

Skills and Abilities:

  • Comfortable leading staff onboarding and application training with empathy and clarity.

  • Clear, patient communicator, especially with non-technical staff, someone who explains tech without jargon. Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Commitment to the nonprofit sector and interest in supporting organizational missions through technology.

  • Understands how to roll out new tools or systems in a way that encourages adoption and minimizes disruption.

  • Able to manage timelines, stakeholder communication, vendor coordination, and UAT (user acceptance testing).

  • Writes clear and accessible SOPs, training guides, and technical documentation.

  • Designs and supports tools with inclusion and accessibility in mind.

  • Strong Troubleshooting Skills: Can triage issues methodically and know when to escalate.

  • Can prioritize, problem-solve, and move forward without constant direction.

  • Recognizes inefficiencies and proposes tech-based improvements.

  • Can turn a non-technical business need into a tech spec (and vice versa).

  • Comfortable shifting priorities, tools, or support needs in a dynamic environment.

  • Handles sensitive data (financial, donor, HR) with discretion.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

  • 2–4 years of experience in IT operations or technical support, preferably in a nonprofit or mission-driven environment.

  • Familiarity with application implementation of project methodologies, including data migrations.

  • Knowledge of operating systems, networking, and cloud-based tools (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace).

  • Experience with databases, CRM, ERP and Marketing Automation systems (e.g., Salesforce, Blackbaud, Sage, Constant Contact), is a plus.

  • Experience with project management including staff training and support.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary range starts at $59,000 based on experience.
