Video Editor
JDC Entwine
Description
If you are a go-getter looking to advance your career in nonprofit communications and digital storytelling, JDC has a fantastic opportunity for you! The Video Editor will play a key role in elevating JDC’s marketing, donor engagement, and storytelling through compelling, social-first videos and content designed to honor, steward, and inform donors and funders. Serving as an in-house creative partner to the Resource Development and Marketing & Communications teams, this role will focus on editing short-form and mid-form videos that inspire, engage, and steward donors across digital platforms and in-person events, along with spearheading a strategic and intentional file management approach that safeguards and streamlines JDC’s vast archive of video footage.
The Video Editor will translate JDC’s vital humanitarian work into powerful visual stories that deepen donor connection and strengthen long-term relationships. This individual will drive editing content that supports donor stewardship, fundraising campaigns, and engagement initiatives — particularly for social media and digital channels — while identifying opportunities to innovate, experiment, and “level up” JDC’s video presence at Board Meetings, events, and other forums. For a creative professional eager to grow within a mission-driven organization, this role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact while advancing your skills in nonprofit marketing and storytelling.
What will you do as our Video Editor?
· Develop and implement a social-first video strategy — in partnership with the Senior Video & Digital Content Producer and Social Media & Community Manager — that supports donor engagement, stewardship, and fundraising priorities, with a focus on elevating JDC’s digital storytelling across platforms.
· Edit and produce compelling short-form and mid-form video content to engage current donors and prospects, create effective ads, support fundraising campaigns, and strengthen relationships with individual, foundation, and corporate supporters.
· Collaborate with Marketing & Communications, Resource Development, field, Board Relations, and other teams to create video assets for key virtual and in-person events, briefings, presentations, and targeted outreach initiatives.
· Present creative concepts and edited content internally, incorporating feedback from stakeholders to ensure alignment with JDC’s messaging, brand standards, and fundraising goals.
· Maintain organized video files, assets, and project documentation in accordance with JDC procedures and best practices.
· Stay informed about JDC’s global mission, programs, and impact in order to accurately and authentically represent the organization’s work through video storytelling.
· Work closely with the Senior Producer, Video & Digital Content and Creative Director to ensure alignment on priorities, messaging, and creative direction, while proactively identifying opportunities to “level up” JDC’s video content and digital presence.
· Perform other related duties as assigned.
What qualifications are required to be our Video Editor?
· Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience centered on video editing, digital content production, or visual storytelling — including work in marketing, communications, media, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations; experience creating social-first and donor-focused content strongly preferred.
· Demonstrated mastery of production tools required, such as video editing systems like Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop), or comparable platforms.

· Strong understanding of storytelling for engagement and impact required, with the ability to tailor video content to different audiences, including donors, prospects, and stakeholders.
· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment required.
· Dedication to and passion for the mission and work of JDC and global Jewish humanitarian issues required.
· Experience collaborating cross-functionally with development, marketing, and communications teams required.
· Comfort receiving and incorporating feedback from multiple stakeholders while maintaining creative integrity required.
