Clinician CWF - Bilingual

The purpose of this position is to provide direct clinical services (in-home or community based) to youth and families who are currently in the foster care system in Illinois. Clinicians will hold caseloads of youth across two child welfare contracts: (1) youth who are currently in foster care and who are in need of help to stabilize in their foster home and (2) youth who are currently in foster care and who are part of the Illinois Early Childhood Court Team.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics:
Client/Family Therapy
- Provides in-home/community-based individual and family therapy with assigned clients, aiming to promote placement stability (where clinically indicated) and maintain clients within their community.
- Provides a full range of clinical treatment duties for a caseload of clients, which may include individual, family, parent consultation, and group treatment modalities.
- Within the context of critical thinking, gathers and analyzes data, completes assessments and formulates treatment plans, and implements specified treatment for routine and complex cases.
- Formulates understanding of clients’ situations, providing appropriate services with supervisory consultation.
- Develop and implement an aftercare plan for the client and family when nearing completion of services.
Client/Family Support
- Provides in-home/community-based individual and family therapy with assigned clients, with the overall goal of promoting placement stability (where clinically indicated) and maintaining clients within their community.
- Provides full range of clinical treatment duties for a caseload of clients, which may include individual, family, couple and group treatment modalities.
- Within the context of critical thinking, gathers and analyzes data, completes assessments and formulates treatment plans, and implements specified treatment for routine and complex cases.
- Formulates understanding of clients’ situations, providing appropriate services with supervisory consultation.
- Develops and implements a discharge and transition plan for the client and family, when nearing completion of services
Administrative
- Performs record-keeping functions and other administrative duties as required by the Agency, including written treatment documentation within the required timeframes.
- May provide services and billing under Medicaid Rule 132 as a Qualified Mental Health Professional.
- Obtains and maintains certification to administer the IM+CANS, DCFS CANS and the FAST assessment tools.
Program Support
- Participate in agency staff development programs, professional group seminars, committees, or conferences to increase professional knowledge.
- Collaborates with other agency personnel, supervisors, appropriate specialists, or consultants on specific case-related problems and participates in weekly supervision.
- Represent JCFS, Child Welfare, and its programs positively to internal and external contacts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social Work or related Human Services field, such as Counseling, Psychology, Marriage/Family Therapy, etc. from an accredited program.
- Bilingual skills required – must be able to speak Spanish fluently.
- Able to work evenings based on client and program needs.
- As this position requires site visits to locations which may or may not be accessible by public transportation, must be able to drive, have a valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle to travel in the Chicago metropolitan area.

Compensation: The minimum compensation for this position is starting at $60,050 annually. Final compensation will be determined based on experience.
