JOB SUMMARY

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of facility systems, grounds, and buildings. This role supports electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems while performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs of building structures and equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Monitor and support of electrical and plumbing as well as mechanical systems related to the swimming pools
  • Grounds-keeping, grounds maintenance and snow removal (mowing, weeding, weed-whacking, brush removal, snow blower, snow shoveling, etc.)
  • Monitor and properly maintain building structural items
  • Timely and accurately conduct equipment checks (e.g. carbon monoxide, fire extinguishers, etc.) and building/equipment inspections (e.g., boilers, backflow, fire suppression, etc.)
  • Participate in the “on-call” rotation schedule for repairs and snow removal
  • Open and close the building on a rotating schedule

OTHER DUTIES

  • Performs all duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Two years college/vocational education in facilities maintenance, or similar experience

  • Regularly stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, grasping, twisting, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climbing and balancing
  • Lift, carry and/or move up to 50lbs
  • Use of computer keyboard

Work Environment

  • Moving mechanical parts, extreme heat, extreme cold
  • Risk of electrical shock, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions.
