POSITION SUMMARY: Direct the aquatics program for the Squirrel Hill location, including Learn to Swim, competitive teams, lifeguarding and related administrative duties; may work at outdoor pools in summer. RESPONSIBILITIES: Recruit/hire/train lifeguards and instructors; department operations (scheduling, payroll, performance); 6 hours/week private lessons; compliance and permits; staff training and certifications; EC swim policy; manage leads/private lessons; marketing; budget; cross-department collaboration. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: Frequent movement; lift up to 25 lbs (occasionally 50 lbs). SUPERVISION: Full-time, part-time, seasonal personnel; reports to Division Director. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s in PE/Recreation or related; 3+ years aquatics management.
