POSITION SUMMARY: The Director of Staff and Community Engagement is a cornerstone of the EKC year-round team. This position combines ownership of Camp’s technology systems and staff experience with strategic responsibility for program logistics, community partnerships, staff recruitment, and rental/off-season business development. Based in Pittsburgh with residency at Emma Kaufmann Camp during the summer months. PRINCIPLE DUTIES: Staff recruitment and hiring compliance; staff engagement; program logistics, facilities & transportation; community partnerships, rentals & between season business; technology & camp systems; camp culture & community; general responsibilities. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: Physical requirements include frequent movement and lifting up to 25 lbs (occasionally 50 lbs). SUPERVISION: Supervises seasonal/part-time personnel; reports to Camp Director. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree (advanced preferred) with at least 2 years of relevant experience. CERTIFICATIONS: PA Criminal History, PA Child Abuse, FBI, PA Mandated Reporter, First Aid/CPR.
