Job Title: Digital Marketing Manager
Reports to: Director of Marketing & Communications
Status: Full-Time; Exempt

Overview

The Digital Marketing Manager is a key contributor to the JCC’s marketing efforts, helping to shape our online presence and strengthen engagement across the community. Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications, this hands-on role manages day-to-day digital content creation, website updates, social media activity, and email communication. The ideal candidate brings a blend of digital savvy and creative skill—someone who can design clean, effective marketing materials while also ensuring our web and social platforms are current, engaging, and aligned with organizational goals. This role is perfect for a mission-driven marketer who enjoys creating, producing, and publishing high-quality digital and print content in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Website Management

  • Update and maintain the JCC website (WordPress), ensuring program information, calendars, and forms remain current.
  • Upload images, copy, and links to support seasonal programming and organizational initiatives.
  • Help ensure a positive user experience through clear navigation and accurate content.
  • Track basic web performance metrics to support continuous improvement.

Social Media Content & Management

  • Create, schedule, and publish social media content across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Capture and curate photos and short videos from programs and events as needed.
  • Monitor engagement and respond to messages/comments in coordination with the Director.

Email Marketing

  • Build and send email campaigns through Mailchimp, using templates and existing branding.
  • Support list organization, segmentation, and accuracy.
  • Coordinate with departments to ensure timely collection of content.

Basic Graphic Design

  • Design flyers, social graphics, and email visuals for selected programs and events using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Adapt existing templates to maintain brand consistency.
  • Format simple print and digital materials for internal partners.

General Support

  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Marketing & Communications on larger campaigns and priorities.
  • Assist with photography, content collection, and event coverage as needed (occasional evenings/weekends).
  • Maintain organized digital files and assets across platforms.
  • Work proactively with staff throughout the agency to gather information and ensure accurate communication.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field preferred.
  • 2–4 years of experience in digital marketing, social media, or related fields.
  • Proficiency with:
    • WordPress or similar CMS
    • Social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube)
    • Mailchimp or other email marketing tools
    • Canva; basic Adobe Creative Suite skills (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) a plus
  • Strong writing, editing, and visual communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and deadlines.
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to support a wide variety of programs.

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Experience with basic video editing (iMovie, CapCut, Canva or similar).
  • Photography experience.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Trello.

Work Environment:

This position is based in a professional office environment within the JCC and may include occasional event coverage outside of regular business hours. Physical demands include long periods of computer use and occasional lifting of materials or event signage.

Compensation: $53,000 – $60,000 per year
