Principal Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all levels of swimming in the USA program
  • Design and oversee training plans for all training groups
  • Oversee seasonal progression of athletes, set goals with swimmers and monitor phases of development with individual swimmers
  • Prompt attendance at all scheduled workouts and swim meets to include weekends
  • Assist in setting training schedules, practice groups, and athlete placement within groups
  • Facilitate individual age appropriate goal setting process with all swimmers
  • Performs related duties as required.
  • Attend Daily Practice
  • Attend USA Meets
  • Supervise Swimmers in pool area at all times
  • Give instruction and feedback on training and technique
  • Communicate with parents and swimmers including meet information, results, feedback
  • Greet, acknowledge and interact with members at all times
  • Create an educational, safe and inviting experience for all participants
  • Provide a safe, clean and organized pool area

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification required
  • USA Swimming Coaching Certification
  • Must have more specific training in Concussions, Athlete Protection, Training for Athletes, Foundations of Coaching
  • 1-3 years of club, high school or college swim coaching experience
  • At least a high school diploma
  • Must have basic computer skills and the ability to learn new programs

Under $25,000
